Well I recently upgraded my system and graphics card.
First, check out this website to check the bench test marks with multiple programs on multiple cards:

Now, my choice was easy. I wasn't going to spend a shitload of cash on a Geforce Ti4600 or a Radeon 9700 PRO, (299.99). And I wanted longevity and decent performance, so the Geforce Ti4200/4400 and Radeon 9200s were out of the running. So I chose a Radeon 9500 PRO 128mb DDR. Why? Well the Geforce cards from Nvidia are notoriously bad at both full scene anti-aliasing AND anisotrophic filtering. With the prices for middle of the road cards being in a dead heat and many of the benchmarks showing the 9500 benching as high as a 4600.. I figured I would spend the 200 bones and get a decent upgrade.
I heard the new Geforce FX cards are sucking major dick on the bench tests and they are only "on par" with the 4600/9500/9700. Its kind of sad but I think Nvidia really screwed the pooch on thier newest chipset.
