Upgrades

Not right now. I've looked into a supercharger for it but those run around 3k-6k depending on the type and manufacturer. I'm also thinking about getting black racing stripes on it but it will be awhile before I do anything. I also need to make sure whatever I do doesn't void my warranty.

no, just no to the racing stripes.

I mean you can go ahead, but I laugh at any car with those painted on it.

Racing Stripes

Here's what it would look like with the vinyl kit that Ford sells. I think it looks pretty good. Just another option I was thinking of doing.

Mine is black with red stripes. They came with it, and they look sweet.

I'm a fiend for stripes! You'd have never guessed from my Trans Am...

If you're thinking about the supercharger route, just remember that you'll have to do a bit of stiffening on the internals (insert Beavis and Butthead laugh here) to handle boost - those 4.6s really wake up though, just remember that you'll have to open up the exhaust and get 'er tuned as well. If you go with a Kenne Bell or Procharger (the only ways to go, imo), you'll probably be looking at $8-9k or so when all is said and done. WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU GO AND DO SOME CRAP LIKE THAT?! There's just something appealing about that front end riding high as you rip through the quarter in high 11s/low 12s...

So far as warranty goes? I'm not certain if this is still valid, but I remember back in the day, I had the option of having Ford complete and certify the installation of a supercharger (keep in mind, a Cobra is little more than a supercharged GT) and all warranty remaining valid.

Your car is 13 years old, you haven't earned the right to laugh at anything.

It's not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.

You'll laugh because you're gay for BMW and nothing else does it for you. I'm assuming you bought a 13 year old one because you can't bring yourself to buy a newer car that isn't BMW.

And they aren't pink, the picture is just washed out.

I can't afford a newer BMW. And other car mft's do do it for me, but they're all german. Keeping in mind I am not insulting your car in design or performance. Simply the duelie stripes. tehehe.

I still think xanath won this thread.

Here's a 67 Mustang, complete with (classic) stripes:

Here's a 67 BMW:

The stripes are a retro throwback to 60's Mustangs which still turn heads on the road (just like my car does, and it's not because people are laughing at it). BMW barely has any style to spare, though I agree that a BMW would look dumb as shit with racing stripes.

You can laugh all you want, but know that it's because you have no taste. Or maybe your tastes are so refined that no one can relate to you.

Or like you alluded to earlier, maybe you just don't get it because you're Canadian.
