Canada has a military?

So I guess you really have been bored lately. Joining the military is not the solution to boredom.

Well, 3 years of service (contract) doesnt seem that bad. And I feel like doing something interesting. I'm tired of retail and im tired of college. I also think infantry seems like the most interesting thing to do.

Well, I seriously doubt anything lethal happening to canada. But, as I've been told first year is training. Last two are serving (for the 3 required). But I chose infantry because it just seems to suit me. Grunt work...do as someone says...and do it well. Not have to deal with idiot customers, and being able to know fairly well that idiots will probably kill themselves on the battlefield as opposed to succeeding. I don't know what im saying but yea.

Why not drive a tank, be a mechanic or a haxor for the military, then?

Remember all those games of Renegade we played? Grunts are squishy and prone to bombings.

I'm confused. Are you joining the national guard or the military? It doesn't matter what happens "to" Canada. It matters where Canada sends their military. It could be anywhere in the world. And who knows what country the U.S. will invade next. I'm sure there will be international troops wherever that may be.

You'll be serving during the Bush administration, so let that be a warning to you.

Many things have been blown up just this year in Europe.

I personally am not too worried about us invading another country under Bush. Who knows how long we'll stay in Iraq at this point. Although Iran keeps on bragging about their upcoming nuclear capabilities... it's almost like they're daring people to attack them. At least North Korea has had a brief fit of sanity.

So why or how do you speak fluent Polish?

It's not like the military plays matchmaker. You are assigned a unit, and you go wherever that unit is deployed. You think you'll only be with other people who speak some european language?

Monster: I know polish via my parents who are both polish. I was born in Australia though, so I pretend like I'm not polish in the first place.

Wynn: Well according to America's Army (you can pinpoint the problem in the first 5 words of that sentence), when or if you are a part of special forces you'd more likely be specialised in knowing one or more languages in the area you're placed. I like to pretend that since I know european based languages they might just send me there instead if I get into special forces.

Hmm yea that's a lot of ifs and assumes. Meh.

So do you really want to be stationed in Poland? I'm pretty sure that's the only place they speak Polish.
