It actually looks really amazing in a lot of ways. I love the fully deformable, component-based construction of a lifeform starting from the single-celled level up through sentience. Looks like a lot of fun. I don't know about you, but I plan on creating an entire race of giant walking penises that live in vagina houses.

So I saw the video last night. And yep, looks pretty damn sweet.

The creature creation system reminds me of Graffiti Kingdom/Magic Pengel, though you actually have a skeletal system, and the parts are already "drawn", you just need to alter them (which, in practice, is probably not all that different). Only the game itself is going to be much better, and you can even design your own buildings and vehicles! That's going to be sweet.

EA announced their earnings.. or should I say losses. Spore has been delayed. See you next year this time to discuss this game again, which still wont be out yet.

Sigh...

So EA released a free trial of the creature editor tool. Apparently people like to make penises and boobs. Someone coined the term Sporn, for spore porn.

I've been busy making lots of creatures for the game. I decided to buy the full version, which I'm currently downloading. I'll post some videos later.

Here are 4 of the creatures I made:

Arbirdle:
(Combined "bird" with Arbuckle (Jon Arbuckle), since he seems like he's depressed)


Zenotaur:
(A centaur, zebra, unicorn)


Seaweed Stalker:
(Based on murlocs, which I've always thought looked cool. "Stalker" because all that seaweed on him raises his stealth for some reason)


Muck Troll:
(A badass troll who lives in muck)

Those are pretty cool. Probably the seaweed is stealthy because it's camoflage.
