http://www.thronesofchaos.com - we're pretty much all aware of the shitty age of mourning history. If not let me bring you up to speed. It died roughly a month into its release after they sent out the game on cd-rw's and it was just the beta client. That's roughly the story anyway. Supposedly a company bought their assets and its a brand new staff now located in USA....this is a piece from an interview taken recently.
"CB: We look at games like World of Warcraft as areas to draw disgruntled player vs. player fans from. And there is plenty of them around! =) Thrones is more of a niche game catering to the hardcore player vs. player so it offers quite a different gameplay atmosphere than your typical PvE type of experience that you would find in games like WoW or EverQuest 2. There really isn't many good options out there right now for the player vs. player crowd. That is the area we will be filling."
"CB: There are no class templates or levels. It is also skill based. There are no restrictions based on guilds or who you can party with. Lately MMORPG's have been more focused on creating static worlds with restrictions and instancing rather than what they really should be which is dynamic game worlds that give the player freedom to do what they like."
"Will there be some form of territorial control in the game?
We are creating a solid guild system for the game as this is one area that is very important for any type of PvP based game. Guilds will control territories to a certain degree. One example being the ability guilds can raise or lower taxes in a specific town or territory dynamically. "

Basically they want to give us everything most of us want. But that's what age of mourning was supposed to be. Anyway just throwing this title out there.
Also this game will feature decapitations and finishing moves, for what it's worth.
