World In Conflict

Me Hado and Xanath have recently been playing this game for many hours per day. http://www.worldinconflict.com/beta

You can sign up until the end of July and get in the beta. It's sort of an RTS/FPS game where you can join a game in progress. I'm bad at descriptions but considering us 3 are playing the rest fo you should probably give it a shot. At the very least it shouldn't be awful like all the other games released this year.

So I downloaded it and played the tutorial before bed last night. Seems more like a straight RTS to me. Not sure how you got FPS out of that. Seems pretty cool though... all about battle instead of resources.

the FPS part becomes much more apparent in multiplayer.....sort of how Nox was a 3rd person shooter, when it wasn't really, so is WiC in being an FPS when it isnt.

Also find xanath and get the vent server info from him or just add:

leetby (hado), xanath, jabus in game to friends and you can join our servers when we're playing (there's ingame voice as well).

This game is a damn good game, straight-forward RTS, pure tactics.. reminds me of Sudden Strike.

No grab for resources, just choke-points. Some issues that come into play is the massive reinforcement points that players can be given when starting a map, which can cause balance issues. I believe this is only on the 'few player mode'. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I've only played the demo, we tried to LAN it... havn't bought it yet.

Anyone got the full game with more detail about how it is after a few weeks of solid play?
