I'll probably play it tonight and see how it is.

Let me know if it's better. Beta 1 was balls.

Well, I played it for a bit. I started with single player to learn the game, which sucked hard. I died every few seconds (the enemy can see you from anywhere), and the game was clearly rigged so that the side I was not on was better. One time I played the humans, and it took probably 10 minutes to get our vehicle (whatever it was called) to even get close to the first base. Second time I played Strogg and the vehicle made it there in less than two minutes probably. Really lame.

So I jumped into multi because it had to be easier, no matter how good the players were. And it was, but the game still isn't great. It's like the Battlefield series but instead of flags you have objectives to accomplish. In the demo map, you need to get a large vehicle into the enemy's base, push them back to another base, then destroy some large thing like a satellite uplink. It was kind of fun, but compared to CoD 4 it was just lame. Not that the games are that similar, but I'd rather play CoD 4 any day.

For some reason I envisioned this game to be on a much larger scale (like Planetside, but smaller). I wouldn't say the game is "balls", but it is "meh".

My terminology must be out of date. Balls and meh are equal to me in describing a game.

Balls is worse than meh.

Really? But games that are meh or balls are both games i would never buy or try to play when they release. So is it not the same essentially? Bah, this conersation has become meh-balls.

Just remember this simple rhyme when you get confused: Balls is more fun to say, but it's not more fun to play.
