I work on the Primetime servers. 1 vs 100 is the first game that is using this service. Since they are the first, we worked hand in hand with them during design and development, so I sure helped create this game. If you have an Xbox gold account, please give it a try when it comes out. I'll be sure to give you a reminder. :)

Anyone here have an Xbox Live Gold account with your billing country set to Canada? If so, please try out the beta starting on May 6th!

For those of you that have Xbox Live, go to the Spotlight channel, 1 vs 100 Beta Coming Soon, and watch the Behind the Scenes video. You can spot me sitting in the center of the couch, next to the crazy laughing guy.

I think there are more videos coming too, so I might be in others as well.

Tonight is the first live episode in the US. If you have an Xbox Live Gold account, you can join the game at 7:25 (Pacific Time). Jump in and look for the Primetime channel and set a reminder for the 7:30 episode. That way you will start downloading the package early. Slots will be limited tonight, so if you want to check it out, be sure to join as early as possible.

What do reminders do? Do they send you an email, or do they just pop up on your Xbox?

Well, I tried it out. I was stuck in the crowd the whole time, though. I was put on a team with 2 talkative black kids, so as you can probably imagine it was pretty entertaining, if not a little distracting.

It was fun, but being in the crowd is not really that great, since you don't have but a minuscule chance of winning anything. However, if you were in a group with friends, it would be a pretty fun quiz game (though a lot of the questions are way too easy). And it seems that in order to be the "one" you have to score highest in the crowd. I was scoring really high most of the time, but not enough to be number one.

I quit after an hour once I found out there were no actual prizes being handed out that night.

I can see this as being both a fun game and a really disappointing one. Disappointing because it seems like it will be a long shot to ever get to be either the "one" or the "100".

If you only have a silver account can you still play online in a group with a gold account in the same house? In other words, could I have friends at my house play along online with me in the crowd?

Reminders just pop up on your xbox. As soon as you set a reminder, you'll start downloading the game, too.

I agree that most people will never be the One or the Mob. The top 3 crowd members win prizes, but that's also very hard to ever do. Everyone earns sweepstakes entries, though, so there's always a chance of winning something.

Regardless, the hope is that you still have fun playing from the Crowd. You can still participate in the shared community experience and enjoy Chris Cashman's witty banter. If you like watching game shows on TV, I would expect you would enjoy being in the Crowd in this game too. I think it's a little cooler than that, because you can still send in email to the live host and possibly get him to read your "shout out" on the air. They look for something particularly funny or interesting, so be creative if you try it.

Questions are easy beacuse it's a casual game. Also, if the One gets it wrong, then it takes a while to select the next group of contestants, which means you get to play less.

I'm not sure about Silver accounts. I know you can join as a Guest, so you can have 3 people over and play along on their own controllers. I would guess that Silver would work too. Guests and Silver are not elligible to be the One or Mob, and can never win any prizes of any kind.

If you don't enjoy listening to those 2 talkative black kids, you can mute players. So far I've never seen anyone use their headset, so that's kinda cool. :)

Thanks for trying it out. I don't think you're the true target market, since you can't stab, headshot, or teabag anyone. But so far it seems to be going over great with people of all types. Frequently people say this is a game they can get their girlfriend/wife to play.
